John McGuinness is the exclusive representative of the official Honda Racing UK team at the 2023 Isle of Man TT. The race begins on May 29th with the first qualifying practice sessions on the Mountain Course. Since Honda made its first visit to the small island in the Irish Sea in 1959, the golden-winged manufacturer has achieved 191 victories, making it the most successful motorcycle manufacturer at the TT.

In this edition of the TT, the 51-year-old rider will not have his teammate Nathan Harrison by his side, as Harrison suffered an injury during the opening Superstock race of the last edition of the North West 200, where McGuinness achieved several top 6 results.

With 104 races on the Isle of Man, McGuinness has earned the nickname "King of the Mountain." So far, he has amassed an impressive tally of 23 victories and 47 podium finishes on the always challenging Mountain Course, which spans a distance of 60.73 kilometers.

McGuinness is heading to his favorite race of the year after performing well at the recent North West 200, finishing among the top six in three races. In addition, he has taken part in some British Superstock tests. His commitment to Honda Racing UK will see him compete in four races aboard the CBR 1000 RR-R SP, including the two Superstock races and the two major Superbike events.

En el lead-up to the race, McGuinness expresses his excitement as he arrives on the Isle of Man by ferry and drives to the paddock. "We create our own little village with the motorhomes. The practice sessions start on Monday, so I have a bit of time to settle in and get used to the island's way of life," he enthusiastically comments.

The British rider is eager to participate in his 105th TT. He has full confidence in his bike, the team, and the timing of their preparations. McGuinness hopes for sunny skies during the next two weeks, which would be ideal for the race. Both he and the entire team are excited and committed to giving their best at the TT. He hopes to achieve good results and doesn't rule out the possibility of standing on the podium. Additionally, he takes the opportunity to send greetings and well wishes to Nathan, wishing him a speedy recovery.

With a positive and determined attitude, John McGuinness is preparing to face the challenging Isle of Man TT. He is ready to compete safely, leverage his vast experience, and strive to stand out in this thrilling competition. The Honda Racing UK team is equally excited and determined to achieve good results in this prestigious event.
