Tazzari EV, the new owner of the Volt brand, has recently announced that they are preparing to produce the highly anticipated Volt Lacama 2.0 in Imola. After years of constant development, this high-performance electric roadster will be ready to hit the dealerships in the near future. But in the meantime, we can provide you with more details about this impressive machine.

Some time ago, Volt was acquired by Tazzari EV with the aim of creating high-quality Italian electric motorcycles. Now, thanks to our partners at Ride Apart and Le Repaire des Motards, we have new information about the Volt Lacama 2.0, an electrified roadster that promises to be a spectacle in itself.

The brand has been sharing more detailed information about the latest evolution of the Volt Lacama 2.0 and has announced that series production will begin later this year.

The latest update we had knowledge of was in 2021. After a period of silence, the Italian start-up came back with a profound redesign of its roadster, thanks to the technical and financial support from Tazzari.

At the time, the brand announced that the electric motorcycle would be launched in the spring of 2022. However, they continued working on its technical development, postponing the release to this year and presenting it at the last EICMA in Milan.

Indeed, the initial expected launch date has passed without the final product being seen. However, Volt has been sharing information, photos, and videos on their official channels, indicating that the Volt Lacama 2.0 is getting closer to its final version.

Let's see what the Volt Lacama 2.0 offers in terms of technical features.

The manufacturer assures that the motorcycle's new axial flow motor will deliver a power of 150 HP and a torque of 230 Nm (774 Nm at the wheel). Additionally, this engineering marvel is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 230 km/h.

These values are achieved in the "Rocket" mode, which is complemented by the Sport, Eco, and Wet driving modes. As for the range, it is estimated at 200 km thanks to the Tazzari battery equipped with high-capacity Samsung cells.

The technological package of the Volt Lacama 2.0 also includes cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and wheelie control, all controlled by a six-axis inertial unit. As for the chassis, it remains faithful to the previous conceptual version, with a lightweight monocoque frame and high-end components such as Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes, spoked wheels, and Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3 tires.

Customization is another standout feature of the Volt Lacama 2.0. The brand has developed a modular system that allows for easy changes in the motorcycle's appearance, transforming it into a single-seat, two-seat, or semi-faired configuration according to the rider's preferences. Additionally, it will be available in 22 different colors for elements such as accents, frame, and seat, providing a wide range of options to cater to individual tastes.

While the price has not been officially disclosed by Volt, we can be certain that the Volt Lacama 2.0 will not be an inexpensive motorcycle. As for the release date, it is not mentioned specifically, but the manufacturer intends to unveil the final version at the upcoming Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA) later this year.

The Volt Lacama 2.0 is poised to be a milestone in the world of electric motorcycles, combining the power and performance of a supersport bike with sustainable electric propulsion technology. This aggressive-looking roadster promises intense emotions and customizable style for two-wheeler enthusiasts seeking an electrifying riding experience.
